When I think about ecommerce, Amazon, Shopify, eBay, Alibaba, and Walmart come to mind. Before this post, I was unfamiliar with Wish, except for its appearance on Lakers’ uniforms. However, it’s a major mobile shopping force.

Wish is a top download. It has 500m+ installs on Google Play and is in the top 15 in shopping apps on Apple. On both platforms, the reviews are high at 4.4 and 4.7, respectively. Those data points give Wish credibility in the ecommerce space.
Wish has no affiliate signup page. A signup page gives visibility and supports a program by outlining pertinent details. By not having one, Wish misses the mark and constricts the program’s growth. Case in point, it was by luck that I stumbled upon its offer on Impact.
The commission rate is meager. Wish pays 1 percent on purchases, which won’t excite or get most affiliates on board. Even by ecommerce standards, 1 percent is low.
Wish is a popular app, but unsatisfied customers exist. On Wikipedia, it reads, “Wish has been criticized for listing poor quality or counterfeit goods, a common concern among major e-commerce sites which feature independent sellers. Customers have complained about the lack of communication from sellers and quality.” Given the review score of “Average” on Trustpilot, sending traffic to Wish may lead to your audience having bad experiences. However, customer satisfaction is a problem that many online markets face because of the challenges to vet and manage sellers. Users should realize that Wish is acting as a broker, not a seller.
Can you make $1,000 a month as a Wish affiliate? Although Wish is a heavily-download app, it’s unlikely that you will make that amount or a significant income. Low commission rates will constrain your earnings. Secondly, Wish only brings together buyers and sellers, so it doesn’t have much room to increase commission rates.
Where should Wish rank in your marketing activities? It should be a low priority. The ecommerce industry is exciting and growing exponentially. That’s given way to unique products and services across the board, with many merchants using affiliate programs to grow. Many of Wish’s competitors have more rewarding affiliate programs, including Shopify, Amazon, eBay, and Etsy.
