GetResponse Affiliate Program

GetResponse has two affiliate programs. Its self-hosted program uses in-house affiliate marketing software. The other program is on the CJ Affiliate network. Let’s review the benefits, drawbacks, commission rate, cookie duration, and program details. Here’s a snapshot.

  • Cost per action (CPA): Cost per sale
  • Commission rate: 33% or $100
  • Commission type: Recurring and one-time commissions
  • Cookie duration: 120 days
  • Payout threshold: $50
  • Payment options: Bank account and PayPal
  • Affiliate software/network: In-house and CJ Affiliate

Program Benefits

The affiliate landing page is excellent. An affiliate landing page is supposed to be informative, and GetResponse hits the mark. There’s a brief FAQ section with more details about the program inside the affiliate portal.

GetResponse welcomes marketers, bloggers, freelancers, agencies, and consultants to join its programs. Most affiliate programs are open to anyone joining, but a small percentage only allows existing customers to participate, for example, ActiveCampaign. Affiliate marketing is a game of addition and inclusion, not subtraction and exclusion, which GetResponse understands.

Affiliates can earn excellent recurring and one-time commissions. The self-hosted program pays a 33 percent recurring commission. Residual payments will last for as long as the user remains a paying customer. If the customer upgrades to a higher-priced plan, your commission will increase. The CJ Affiliate program pays $100 for every sale.

Both programs have 120-day cookies. GetResponse provides an above-average conversion period compared to the standard 30 days that many merchants use. Also, the lengthy cookie duration supports its free 30-day trial.

The payout threshold is low. GetResponse states, “We pay out your monthly commission around the 20th of each month but the commission locking period is different for each of our two programs. In the Recurring Program, you get paid in the month following the month of account referral. In The Bounty Program commission is paid out between 60 and 75 days from time of referral.”

Deep linking is available for both programs, and it’s how an affiliate creates a link to a specific page on the merchant’s site. Instead of using a standard homepage affiliate link, you can link to an article or product that relates to your content to increase relevance and conversion rates. GetResponse gives you the ability to deep-link to any page on its site, which is advantageous given how many resources it provides.

GetResponse has excellent affiliate marketing materials. They are available in multiple languages and cover various promotional methods, including:

  • Ad banners
  • Text ads
  • Email marketing templates
  • Email signature templates
  • Infographics
  • Videos
  • Company logos

There’s a full-time affiliate marketing manager. When a merchant has the staff to support publishers, it quickens processes and shows commitment. Additionally, GetResponse offers an in-depth FAQ page and ten tips to make your first sale.

GetResponse is a complete and robust digital marketing solution. It began as an email marketing provider but now offers critical tools to support various marketing activities. Its value proposition is attractive, leading to potentially higher conversion rates. Secondly, GetResponse is a well-established company that’s been in business since 1998. You can have every confidence that you’re sending traffic to a reputable enterprise.

Program Drawbacks

GetResponse doesn’t offer a free account. Some marketers prefer to promote free plans to get customers “hooked.” Alternatively, it offers a free 30-day trial, which is beneficial because it forces new users to pay sooner rather than later (or never).

Making Money

Can you make $1,000 a month as a GetResponse affiliate? It’s possible to make that amount or a significant income. GetResponse offers two of the best affiliate programs among email marketing providers. Its one-time and recurring payment plans are supported by 120-day cookies, making for win-win partnerships. GetResponse is a leader in the crowded email/marketing software automation space, which can help with conversion rates.

Where should GetResponse rank in your marketing activities? GetResponse should be a medium priority and a high priority for existing customers who do affiliate marketing. Marketing and sales apps are essential for business growth, and GetResponse can meet those needs with its robust suite of tools.

Top 40 Affiliate Program 200x

I recommend joining GetResponse’s affiliate program because it pays high commission rates, and I’ve made money with it. Furthermore, it’s a Digital Fodder top 40 affiliate program. I prefer the in-house affiliate marketing software because first-party links are usually more advantageous and efficient compared to third-party links.
