Canva is a graphic design application that helps users to create social media graphics, presentations, logos, and posters with various layouts, images, photo filters, and fonts. Its software combines a drag-and-drop tool with a library of photographs, illustrations, and imagery. Canva also provides tools to create and edit videos. Its mobile app is well-reviewed and an Editor’s Choice app on the Google Play store. In 2019, Canva acquired Pixabay and Pexels, which are two popular free photo sites.

Canva Affiliate Program
Canva has an affiliate program, which anyone can join. It’s hosted on the Impact affiliate network. Let’s review the benefits, drawbacks, commission rate, cookie duration, and details of the program.
Canva’s affiliate landing page is satisfactory. An affiliate landing page is supposed to be informative, and Canva provides many details. Although it mentions the cookie period, it omits commission rates, which is a critical detail. Hopefully, Canva will update its page with more details.
Affiliates can earn fantastic commissions. Canva pays per sale (CPS) and lead (CPL). Publishers can earn 25 percent ($30) on a Canva Pro annual subscription and 100 percent ($12.95) on a monthly subscription. Canva also pays $6.50 per subscription trial.
Affiliates get a 30-day cookie. One of my biggest complaints with some programs is that their cookie/conversion windows are too short. Canva’s 30-day referral period meets the industry standard, but 60 to 90 days would be more advantageous.
The commission payout threshold is low. Impact issues payments when commissions exceed 50 USD or the local equivalent. Payouts are sent to the affiliate’s bank account.
Canva’s advertising banners are appealing, straightforward, and come in different sizes. Affiliates will also like Canva’s animated and unique video advertisements.
There’s a full-time affiliate marketing manager. When a merchant has the staff to support publishers, it quickens processes and shows commitment. You can contact Canva’s affiliate team through Impact.
Impact’s affiliate software is top-notch. It offers excellent and reliable tracking solutions. Furthermore, the user interface and activity reports are easy to navigate.
Designers, creators, and marketers love the simplicity of Canva. It has a 4.7 rating on Google Play and 4.9 on the Apple app store. Those high marks support potentially high conversion rates. Affiliates can also promote Canva’s design school, which offers tutorials and courses.
Canva pays attractive commission rates; however, a 20 to 30 percent recurring commission for the life of the customer would be more appealing.
Deep linking is not available. Deep linking is the practice by which an affiliate creates a link to a specific page on the merchant’s site. For example, instead of using a generic homepage affiliate link, I can link to an article that relates to my post. Unfortunately, publishers can’t create links and direct traffic to pages of their choosing. Perhaps Canva will enable deep linking in the coming months.
Can you make $1,000 a month as a Canva affiliate? Possibly, but Canva’s program is too new to know for sure. Canva offers excellent commission rates for sales and leads. Its 30-day referral period is adequate, and Impact offers robust affiliate tracking software. Deep linking capabilities would improve the program because marketers could link to Canva’s array of products and graphics.
Where should Canva rank in your marketing activities? It should be a low to mid priority. Canva is a popular design tool that outshines its limited competitors. From Instagram to WordPress to online presentations, it can be a handy app for individuals and business owners. Secondly, images, photos, and illustrations are fundamental to web design, marketing, and social media. The necessity of imagery for online projects has helped Canva to grow its user base into the millions.
I recommend joining Canva’s affiliate program because it pays high commission rates, and I’ve made money with it. Furthermore, it’s a Digital Fodder top 40 affiliate program.
