Kanchi Kamakoti Child's Trust Hospital

This is a story of a premier Children's Health Care Institute in South India at Chennai. This is the well known paedratic hospital called 'CHILDS TRUST HOSPITAL.
The word 'CHILDS' in this nomenclature is an apt abbreviation of 'Children's Health Institute Laboratory and Diagnostic Services, which is the full name of the organisation.
This institution was formed by the visionary Dr. M. S. Ramakrishnan M.S. EA.C.S. F.A.M.S. Dr. Ramakrishnan was an eminent Paediatric Surgeon, who, along with some of his colleagues, embarked on a journey of selfless service to the children of the nation by starting a small four bed exclusively Children's Health Care Unit on April 27, 1978 during the international year of the child.
Happily, this is also a story of divine blessings bestowed on this worthy charity of high repute by their eminence Jagadguru Sankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati Swamigal and Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Swamigal of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam to whom the trustees of the Childs Trust Hospital appealed for help in times of financial distress.
Today the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam is the main patron of this institution and therefore, the hospital is called
"KANCHI KAMAKOTI CHILDS TRUST HOSPITAL"
